Job Summary:
The Guest Services (GS) team ensures total guest satisfaction by managing pre-arrival communication, selling mountain products, and addressing concerns. Reservation and Group Sales Specialists generate revenue by coordinating all aspects of group visits, weddings, and special guests coming to ski, snowboard, take snowcat trips, or enjoy guided snowmobile tours or rentals.
The Reservations and Group Sales Specialist develops and nurtures group business through proactive selling, marketing, and direct sales at Brundage Mountain Resort. This role provides comprehensive group sales support while actively seeking new group opportunities. Additionally, this position serves as the venue coordinator for on-property weddings and manages daily reservation operations, including sales, communication, and scheduling for snowmobiling and snowcat skiing.
This is a full-time year-round position during both the winter and summer operating seasons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire group experience from initial contact through booking, coordination, and on-site experience.
- Coordinate with departments to meet customer needs and respond promptly to guest concerns, ensuring quality experiences that drive future sales.
- Build and maintain relationships with group and wedding clients to secure market share.
- Handle wedding coordination including venue tours, explaining Brundage wedding packages, managing pre-event details, and overseeing day-of execution from setup through cleanup.
- Operate as on-site wedding coordinator, working with facilities and food/beverage teams to execute event plans.
- Manage all snowmobiling and snowcat skiing reservations, synchronizing POS systems with reservation calendars.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external guests regarding bookings.
- Create and distribute trip manifests for cat skiing and snowmobile adventures.
- Develop sales strategies that maximize resort profits while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Monitor competition, market trends, and guest feedback to evaluate performance against goals.
- Support the Guest Services Manager with on-property group and wedding coordination.
- Demonstrate patience, tact, and diplomacy when handling challenging guest interactions, effectively defusing frustrations.
- Collaborate with supervisory and management staff across all resort departments
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of guest service experience
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests, executives, and employees
- Ability to think and communicate effectively in stressful situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in Entabeni POS or other reservation management software is a plus
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
