Brunel is currently searching for an E&I Construction Supervisor (Contract) for a long-term contract position with our client located in Bagdad, Arizona. If candidate is not local to Bagdad, Arizona, client will provide accommodations and travel for a 4 week on, 1 week at home rotation, along with monthly stipend for living expenses.
Overview:
As a E&I Construction Supervisor, you will oversee contractors for electrical projects and provide support to the project execution team.
Main Responsibilities:
- MV Powerline Installation:
- Installation and maintenance of medium voltage power lines.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Experience with overhead and underground powerline systems.
- Fiber/OPGW Installation & Termination:
- Installation of fiber optic cables and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW).
- Proficiency in splicing, testing, and terminating fiber optic cables.
- Understanding of signal transmission and network integration.
- Instrumentation Installation and Wiring:
- Installation of various instrumentation devices (e.g., sensors, transmitters).
- Wiring and calibration of instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation circuits.
- PLC Interface Works:
- Integration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) with other systems.
- Programming and configuring PLCs for automation processes.
- Delta V experience is a plus.
- Electrical Switchyard Works:
- Installation and maintenance of electrical switchyards.
- Adherence to safe distance requirements and hot work protocols.
- Experience with high voltage equipment and protective relays.
- Switch Gear and Unit Substation Work:
- Installation and maintenance of switchgear and substations.
- Knowledge of circuit breakers, transformers, and protective devices.
- Testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- General Building Wiring:
- Electrical wiring for commercial and industrial buildings.
- Compliance with electrical codes and standards.
- Installation of lighting, power outlets, and control systems.
- Solar System Design and Installation:
- Understanding of solar power system design and installation.
- Experience with photovoltaic (PV) panels and inverters.
- Knowledge of grid-tied and off-grid solar systems (is a plus).
- Design, Implementation, and Tracking of all LOTOTO:
- Development and implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ensuring safety during maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Tracking and documentation of LOTOTO processes from construction to commissioning.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead contractors in the delivery of project deliverables.
- Provide Senior level quality assurance on project deliverables.
- Assist in the development of work and process flow where required.
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback.
- Take ownership of project activities and processes
- Strong interpersonal, prioritization and time-management skills
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering OR High School diploma or GED and ten (10) years’ progressive experience in the field, engaged directly in the practice, systems, procedures and terminology of project construction management.
- 15 years of experience managing and overseeing the scopes listed above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software, including Teams.
- Ability to create punch lists and turnover documents.
- Understanding of QAQC requirements and standards.
- Experience in heavy Industrial or Mining industries
- Working knowledge of ETAP, SKM and AutoCAD
- Ability to multi-task while supervising multiple areas and teams.
