Job Description
Brunel is currently seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planner I to join their team for a contract that may lead to direct hire with one of their mining clients in Arizona.
This role will require the selected candidate to be based in Miami, AZ. If not locally based, a daily stipend of $200 will be provided to cover costs related to lodging, food, and transportation.
The successful candidate will work closely with the supervisor to support all aspects of job preparation, execution, and follow-up, including time spent in the field to ensure readiness and availability of materials and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of Equipment Reliability Standards (ERS), interact closely with the Supervisor to establish and monitor planned schedules for assigned activities.
- Participate in planning meetings to ensure effective coordination.
- Review, prioritize, and schedule work orders to maximize efficiency.
- Responsible for 'runtime' forecasting process to predict maintenance needs.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules for assigned activities and maintain activity records in SAP.
- Closely coordinate with Global Supply Chain to manage warehouse levels of materials and parts.
- Collaborate with senior planners and supervisors to plan and organize for major production shutdowns.
- Provide data to support maintenance management decisions, including budgets and weekly forecasting.
- Generate KPI reports to track performance.
Requirements
- Diploma and 4 years of experience in field maintenance in mining, manufacturing, or industrial operations, or 2 years of specific planning experience in field maintenance.
- Associates degree and 2 years' experience, or Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience.
- General knowledge of workflow Maintenance Planning/Scheduling.
- Basic understanding of Mining and/or Process Equipment.
- Working proficiency in MS Office.
- Basic understanding of maintenance management systems such as SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Knowledge of Mechanical or electrical maintenance background.
- Experience conducting preventative/predictive maintenance procedures in an industrial setting.
- Experience with equipment repair, overhauls, and job planning.

This position offers an hourly rate of $29-36 based on experience. The position is on-site in Miami, AZ, with a 40-hour work week.
