Brunel is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to lead purchasing tasks for a long-term contract position with our client located in Arizona. The ideal candidate will have experience in project procurement and construction industries.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight responsibility for Purchasing, Expediting, and Logistics coordination of assigned packages/requisitions/purchase orders.
- Incorporating standard Procurement procedures and strategies in the procurement of goods for the project.
- Managing the execution of all procurement activities of assigned packages and collaborating with EPC contractor procurement team and cross-functional departments to ensure plans, budgets, and schedules are being achieved.
- Interacting with Project Procurement Lead, Discipline Leads, EPC Contractor Company, and FCX on a day-to-day basis to meet project procurement objectives.
- Collaborating with internal and EPC contractor teams on strategic procurement and supply chain solutions.
- Developing sources strategies and utilizing Strategic Supplier Relationships.
- Performing purchasing tasks in accordance with standard techniques and procedures, including RFQ Bidders Lists, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Supplier bids, Commercial Evaluations, Purchase Orders and Change Orders, Material Status Reports, RFQ Status Reports, Expediting status reports, and Critical correspondence with vendors.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge and experience in SAP procure to pay modules.
- 10 years' experience in project procurement in construction or mining industries.
- A bachelor's degree - Engineering (Civil and Mechanical preferred) or Business-related studies.
- Knowledge and qualification in Project Management will be helpful.
