Introduction
We are currently hiring a Refrigerator Technician for our client who utilizes state-of-the-art production technologies and extensive product development experience. Their mission is to revolutionize the food industry with plant-based solutions that are better for consumers and the planet.
The Refrigerator Technician will be responsible for but not limited to installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in the plant. This includes but is not limited to diagnosing and fixing issues with refrigeration units, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Refrigeration Technician will be required to assist with other facilities and maintenance duties and projects as assigned by their supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other technical documents.
- Conduct regular checks, identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment for installation, assembly, and disassembly.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Install refrigeration or air conditioning components (motors, controls, gauges, valves, etc.).
- Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment as required.
- Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul HVAC systems.
- Start-up systems, test for leaks, check regulators, and perform routine maintenance.
- Repair and replace parts for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.
- Assist with other facilities and maintenance work and projects within the plant.
- Address equipment issues, escalate as necessary and provide recommendations.
- Follow Food Safety, HACCP, Quality, and Operational procedures.
- Ensure adherence to NMF’s Quality Management System and set an example for Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
