A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBING INSTALLATION MANAGER
As our Plumbing Installation Manager, you ensure that all of our installations are completed on time and to the correct specifications. At each job site, you go over the scope of work with the customer and collect payment. You supervise and oversee the people, equipment, and materials on all plumbing, piping, and heating installations, replacements, renovations, and modification jobs. During each job, you confirm that all work is performed in a safe manner while protecting our employees, customers, and customer property. You are also responsible for being the liaison between the company and local utility companies to progress our work.
Overseeing an exceptional crew, you utilize your leadership skills to motivate your team to exceed customer expectations. You ensure that each member of your team is properly and consistently trained for the work they undertake. Additionally, you verify that all field employees are properly equipped with the tools they need to complete the job. When necessary, you enjoy working alongside your team to complete these installations, replacements, renovations, and modifications. You also have the opportunity to recruit, interview, and hire new plumbing, piping, and heating technicians and apprentices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in supervising installation technicians
- 5 years of experience in both residential and commercial plumbing, piping, and heating installations and replacements
- Continuing Education through some combination of additional trade school, manufacturer's seminars, Nate training, or other related training or trade education is a bonus
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record required
