In this role, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient unloading of green beans, perform quality checks, and keep operations running smoothly. What you’ll do:
- Visually inspect green beans for appearance and quality, checking for defects.
- Perform pre-unloading cross-sectional sampling to ensure quality control.
- Sign in trailers and ensure proper documentation.
- Safely and efficiently unload trailers using vacuum or gravity feed systems.
- Complete and maintain necessary paperwork and work orders to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to climb into and out of trailers from ground level.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to pull and drag green bean sacks weighing up to 160 lbs, with assistance.
- Experience using stairs and ladders.
- Stand-Up Reach Truck Certification is strongly preferred.
- Solid mathematical skills for addition and subtraction.
- Ability to deploy resources effectively to meet operational needs.
- Strong ability to follow and provide written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work various hours as needed.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
