What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Estimator position at Bruns Construction Enterprises?
We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Estimating team. In this dynamic role, you will be tasked with preparing detailed estimates for light commercial and residential projects based on drawings and specs related to the project. You will also provide assistance to Project Managers and Superintendents as it relates to bidding, pre-construction, construction and post-construction activities.
Responsibilities Include :
- Prepare quantity take-offs, analysis, and estimates.
- Prepare complete and accurate documents representing the scope of work.
- Participate in bid reviews.
- Offer value engineering options.
- Update and maintain contract drawings with new information as received.
- Work with the RCS team to ensure conditions and requirements are properly addressed in the estimate.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals for the scope of work.
- Assist staff in evaluating change orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
