Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices.
Duties:
- Maintain accurate financial records using Sage accounting software
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Payroll processing and tax preparation
- Generate invoices and track overdue payments
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software Sage
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
- Ability to perform journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Familiarity with financial concepts like debits, credits, and financial statements
- Experience with construction company terminology.
This position requires a candidate with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Prefer someone with experience in bookkeeping and Sage .
