Brunson provides manufacturing and engineering solutions to measurement problems faced by people who build, inspect or maintain large machines – including aircraft, paper mills, satellites, ships, machine tools, particle accelerators and automobiles.
This well-established organization is currently seeking a CNC Machinist III who will be responsible for complex production and programming responsibilities and handles a variety of tasks including leading the work of others.
Responsibilities
- Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary.
- Operates manual machines as required.
- Uses standard inspection tools (ring, plug, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, optical comparator).
- Write programs as required.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Designs, fabricates and verifies new tooling and fixturing.
- Runs prototypes.
- Participates in lean events, design reviews, cost reductions, cycle time savings, training.
- Directs and leads the work of others.
- Understands and follows established quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works under minimal supervision. A high degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Proven programming skills.
