General Function
Under the general supervision of the Director of Electrical Programs & Multicultural Outreach, the applicant must demonstrate mastery of current technical application skills necessary in the Industrial Maintenance Field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites
- Teaching, present material, shop inventory, and use of equipment safely
- Ensures that all necessary documents are kept current and delivered in a timely manner
- Ensures that accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
- Prepares and updates materials/outlines for adult learning styles
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Confidentiality is extremely imperative. Brunswick Community College follows FERPA guidelines
- Hydraulics and pneumatics theory and application
- Mechanical Systems
- Motor controls theory and application
- PLCs programing theory and application
- Robotics
- Expertise in electrical and electronics theory and application
- Proficiency in all MS Office products
- Problem solving
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in related field of study with 5 or more years-experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- Previous teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to get NCCER and NC3 train-the-trainer training.

- Teaching experience
- Experience interacting with manufacturing facilities
- Apprenticeship experience
