General Function
The PT Plumbing Instructor will prepare students for a successful career in the plumbing industry through classroom instruction, delivery of project-based learning activities, assessment, examination and grading.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites
- Prepares and update material/outlines.
- Provides traditional lecture and project-based learning activities including real-world scenarios as it relates to plumbing.
- Prepare course objectives following industry standards.
- Plans and document a program of study that meets the individual needs and abilities of students
- Provides instruction using handouts, texts, audiovisual, and project based learning
- Maintains accurate attendance records and submits timely end of course paperwork
Minimum Qualifications
- NC License or five years of direct experience
- Experience in training others in a workforce or classroom/lab setting.
- Willing to teach day or evening classes.
- Willing to earn NCCER certification within two months of employment.
- Familiar with MS Office
Preferred Requirements
- Third Party Industry credentials
- Experience teaching adults
- Competent in MS Office applications
