FT Dietary/Storeroom Aide
We are currently seeking a full time Dietary Storeroom Aide to perform manual and clerical work in receiving, checking, storing, and issuing materials, tools, and equipment and related duties.
In this role, you will:
Check food and supply deliveries to ensure order has been sent accurately. Items missing
Or damage must be immediately marked for return.
All supplies must be place in appropriate storeroom and on shelves and racks neatly,
and marked FIFO date.
Check for any damage to any item received.
- Check quantity/quality of goods received for compliance with purchase order and specifications, and record all items received.
- Report deviations from purchase orders. Familiar and practice FIFO procedures of all refrigerated and non-refrigerated items
- Store goods with accepted procedures to achieve maximum utilization of space and prevention of spoilage, dating all items received.
- Responsible for general daily cleanliness of shelving storage, storage rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Deliver supplies or other store material to designated locations as required.
We require:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience checking, receiving, storing, and issuing equipment in a food service health-related facility.
- HS Diploma desirable
- Valid New York State Driver’s License
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Knowledge of stockroom methods and procedures.
- Ability to maintain inventory and store records.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Other duties as assigned.
