What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Social Worker - Harriet Beecher Stowe School Elementary School position at Brunswick School Department?
Brunswick School Department is seeking a substitute LCSW, LCPC, or someone working towards full licensure with a supervision requirement. This role requires 2-3 days per week on sight starting at the end of March, beginning of April. This position will be until the end of the school year. The caseload is made up of students grades 3-5 with special education plans. Our goal is to provide overlap with the current social worker in the role prior to their leave.

Responsibilities will include :
- Working with small student groups on topics including skills for learning, working cooperatively, problem-solving, self-regulation and impulse control.
- Working with individual students and families.
- Serving as a liaison between home and school for our many families.
- Documenting progress on special education goals and presenting a summary and recommendations for IEP meetings.
- Assist in the collection, recording and analysis of behavior data.
- Maintain complete, up-to-date and accurate records as required by law, policy and administrative regulation.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Student Services and / or Building Principal.
