Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental clinic team for WEDNESDAYS AND 1 SATURDAY. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in medical reception, particularly in a dental setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while managing the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered at the clinic.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries, including medical collections.
- Utilize Meditech software for patient management and record-keeping tasks.
- Assist with basic medical coding as needed, ensuring proper documentation for insurance claims.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to patient information and appointment scheduling.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations throughout the clinic.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and appointment schedules.
- Proficient in 10 key typing and comfortable using various office equipment and software, including Meditech.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
