What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Lead position at Bruss North America INC?
Job Purpose: The Group Lead assists the Production Manager in production matters. Group Lead directs and oversees the production floor. In addition, the Group Lead is responsible for assisting in the supervision of cell operators and works with the Human Resource Manager on Training programs as well as Health and Safety (including environmental) Programs.
Authority: All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides daily updates to management team concerning production performance.
- Assures that production cells are running properly and according to takt time.
- Ensures proper quality, safety, and environmental in the cell.
- Balance manpower of production line
- Responsible for meeting expectations for production supervision, including disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for processing payroll (time card, vacation approvals, etc.) timely and accurately
- Responsible for supporting and documenting training as needed.
- Works with Human Resources and provides support (time and personnel) on issues regarding Training and Health and Safety Programs (including environmental aspects and impacts)
- Aid in the development of standardized work
- Instructs personnel of the safe practices to be observed in the workplace
- Enforce Safety & Environmental standards and requirements within assigned department
- Responsible for reporting injuries promptly and completing accident/incident reports and investigations.
- Ensures holding cell personnel accountable to adhere to operation and environmental procedures
- Responsible for accurately updating necessary production boards, benches, etc.
- Facilitates corrective actions to address process, product facility, and customer complaint issues
- Responsible for working all hours required to support production needs, projects, and customer demands, including daily or weekend overtime when deemed necessary and appropriate

· Experience, Competencies and Education
An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high
ethical Standards. A well organized and self-directed individual
Workforce and management. High School Diploma or GED, 10th Grade Math Level, and one to two years related experience preferred.
· Language Skills
Ability to effectively communicate information to any level of the Organization
