SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team at Bruss North America INC. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment within our facilities, contributing to our commitment to quality and operational efficiency.

JOB PURPOSE: Custodian maintains cleanliness, safety, and functionality within industrial facilities, performing tasks like cleaning and waste disposal, while also adhering to safety protocols and using specialized cleaning equipment

AUTHORITY: All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors as necessary.
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, common areas, and high-touch points.
• Emptying trash and/or recycling bins.
• Cleaning windows, glass partitions, glass shelves, and mirrors.
• Dusting and polishing furniture, shelves, walls, and fixtures as necessary.
• Cleaning and maintaining all offices and labs (downstairs and upstairs,) training room, stairwells, lobby, restrooms, outer hallways, breakroom, and smoking area
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas in breakroom, operations office, and front offices (dishes, microwaves, cabinets, under sinks, refrigerators, dish washer, and maintaining necessary supplies.
• Operating cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, power washers).
• Using and ensuring safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Responding promptly to spills or accidents
• Monitoring and managing inventory of cleaning supplies and requesting replenishment timely.
• Organizing and storing cleaning supplies.
• Receiving and verifying delivered items against invoices (if applicable).
• Arranging and organizing items in stockroom.
• Reporting and addressing minor maintenance issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience, Competencies and Education

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience. Individual should be a “self-starter” and motivated to perform duties independently without direct supervision. Must possess good verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Individual should have strong time-management and multitasking skills.

Language Skills

Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and others, both oral and written.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and color vision. Noise level on the work environment is usually quiet.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
