Landscape Field Supervisor

We are a growing a landscaping company with two main locations in Mentor, Ohio and Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. We are looking for a dedicated landscaping & snow removal professional to be our field supervisor. This is a complete hands-on position and requires someone with over 10 years general experience and with a specific 5 years of Field Supervisor experience.

Landscape supervisors are responsible for managing all field operations. They coordinate the procurement and scheduled use of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards as well as responsible for putting together a rigorous training program to train and improve skills of laborers and foremen.

As a landscaping supervisor, you will manage a crew of landscape and snow removal workers and make sure they are completing jobs in a satisfactory manner according to the design and wishes of the customer. The supervisor may also be responsible for aspects of the design and will create a plan and schedule all of the tasks that must be completed. The supervisor may also keep track of the budget and all expenditures.

Requirements:

• 10 years of lawn care, landscaping, hardscaping and snow removal experience REQUIRED
• 10 years experience in snow plowing with a truck, dump truck, skid steer and loaders.
• 5 years experience leading a crew of at least 10 crew members in lawn care and snow removal assignments. References are a MUST
• 5 years experince in repairing all kinds of equipment, inc. lawn care and snow removal equipment (including but not limited to: mowers, trimmers, chainsaw, all kinds of power tools, blowers, snow blowers, leaf vacuum machine, salt spreaders, snow rators, skid steer, trucks and dump trucks) .
• Exceptional attitude and ability to work as a team and be a leader
• Proven experience in running enhancement and hardscape projects with multiple crews.
• Self-motivated

• Ability to be on your feet for the entire workday in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the workday in all weather conditions
• Ability to work overtime
• Punctual with a clean/professional appearance
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
• Coordinate the procurement and use of resources within guidelines of job
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with customer service and engagement
• Experience with power/hand tools (trimmers, chainsaws, etc.)
• Experience with with landscaping machinery (skid steer, tractor, walk behind , bed edger, zero turn mowers, etc.)
• Experience with irrigation repair
• Experience with mulch/gravel/plants/lawn installation
• Experience with hardscaping installation/repair (patios, decks, pergolas, outdoor lighting, walkways, etc.)
• Experience with operating various snow equipment (V-Plow, snow-rator, snow blower, salt box, salt spreader inserts for trucks and dump trucks)
• Work within budget, safety and quality standards of the company
• Ability to pass a background check (No felonies)
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Clean driving record so you are able to drive a company vehicle and be added on the company’s insurance

• 8-10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Snow removal includes weekends
