What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Construction Project Engineer position at Bryan Construction?
General Contractor searching for Project Engineer with Federal construction experience. The Project Engineer performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Provides technical support for the engineering process and contributes to the completion of a project. This position is responsible for the compilation of project change requests. The project engineer will track project changes for both owners and subcontractors. They will work closely with the Project Manager to understand the change order process.
- Responsible for the administration of all aspects of the construction project.
- Assist Project Manager in generating and managing project budgets, cost controls and project related invoicing.
- Coordinates subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, hired labor forces, inspectors, testing labs and others as required to fulfill the requirements of the schedule and project(s).
- Responsible for the generation of change orders and claim proceedings.
- Familiar with the unique aspects of the job and properly establish and maintain appropriate document control.
- Responsible for timely submittal of all reports as required and/or requested by management or clients.

Primary Duties
Strong RFI, Submittal, Change Order and Meeting Minute skills.
Proficient with various computer software:
a. Office Suite
b. Procore
c. Bluebeam
d. P-6
Document management to include:
a. Budget Adjustments/Change Orders
b. Pay Applications
c. Scopes and LOI's
d. Contract Review
e. Review and distribute submittals
f. Set up and manage file structures in Bluebeam and on internal servers
Assist in the pre-construction/estimating process
a. Scope review
b. Qualify Bidders
Scheduling
a. Assist with updates
b. Activity Management (add/delete)
c. Create and define relationships
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering.
- 2 years of project experience working in the construction industry required
- Experience with Federal construction sites preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, Procore, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred
