What are the responsibilities and job description for the CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (Pembroke, GA) position at Bryan County?
The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for a Full Time Customer Service Representative in our Community Development Department. This position will be located at our Administration Building at 51 North Courthouse Street, Pembroke, GA.
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Greets the general public and answers incoming telephone calls; forwards calls and messages to staff members; provides routine information to the public regarding department operations, policies and procedures; may provide specific information to the public regarding department operations, policies and procedures.
Coordinates the handling of inquiries and complaints from the general public.
Assists the general public in filing applications for various county services such as alcohol permits, business licenses; reviews applications for completeness and verifies that supporting documents are attached.
Opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
Performs basic/general update to webpage.
Maintains and coordinates conference room schedule.
Schedules/coordinates meetings for Community Development staff.
Assists Planner Techs in preparing legal advertisements, signs, and notices for public hearings.
Runs errands (bank, post office).
Types and copies correspondence, reports, forms, e.g. U.S Census & Department Reports.
Stocks office supplies and materials; conducts periodic inventory; orders supplies as needed.
Punctuality and attendance are essential.
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required, one year of experience in clerical or secretarial work or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Computer skills (Word, Excel, Sharepoint), basic math and data entry preferred. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
