Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and team members to determine the design preferences, requirements, and budgets.
- Utilize 2020 cabinet design software and other design software such as Sketchup, AutoCAD, to create visual representations of design concepts.
- Ensure designs meet relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and appliances based on client preferences and project requirements.
- Present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Accurately create and process cabinet orders, including specifications and details.
- Conduct site visits to verify final measurements.
- Communicate design and vision clearly to production staff and installation teams.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design offerings.
- Have the ability to sell upgrades for kitchens, bathrooms, bars, and any other areas where cabinets are utilized.
- Sell as part of the design process window coverings, from blinds, drapes, curtains, etc. and oversee the schedules and installations with the different contractors.
- Manage existing and future builder / multi-project accounts
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cabinet design utilizing 2020 cabinet design software.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration.
- Proficiency in project management to ensure timely delivery of design projects.
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles, including color theory and spatial planning.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) for creating technical drawings.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Sketchup) for visual presentations.
- Sales skills to assist in presenting ideas persuasively, upselling, and closing deals with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for building innovative designs that enhance living spaces.
