Bryan Manor Charge Nurses are responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and providing quality nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and satisfaction of residents while supervising nursing staff, coordinating care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing care for residents, ensuring adherence to care plans and physician orders.
- Assist Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in providing patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and document accurately.
- Monitor resident health status, respond to emergencies, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and facility policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy, dietary, and social services, to enhance resident care.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on health-related matters and care plans.
- Participate in shift change reports and ensure seamless communication between shifts.
- Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and training as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident medical records and reports.
