Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage the dietary department to meet the nutritional needs of residents.
- Supervise dietary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure meals are prepared according to residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and care plans.
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to address residents' nutritional needs and implement dietary changes as needed.
- Develop and monitor the dietary department budget and maintain cost controls.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering and storing food and supplies.
- Conduct routine audits of meal preparation, service, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or similar certification is required.
- Previous experience in a dietary or food service management role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and dietary regulations in healthcare.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff to achieve positive outcomes.
