Bryan Rock Products is a family owned mining company with limestone quarries in Shakopee and Bayport/Stillwater. We are seeking applicants for a Quarry Quality Control Technician.
Position Overview:
The Quarry Quality Control Technician will be responsible for sampling and routine testing of aggregate materials. Knowledge of State and local specifications is necessary to ensure materials are consistent with quality and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is a hard worker, proficient in math, has good computer skills, is organized and can communicate with crews, foreman and management. This position is key to daily operations and requires self -motivation and reliability. The position will travel between our locations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform required sampling and testing of materials
· Maintain consistent communication with foremen and management about QC results
· Maintain database and organization of QC records
· Daily maintenance of lab equipment and housekeeping
· Assist in resolving problems
Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
· Must be safety oriented in all aspects of the job
· Experience in aggregate quality control testing and data analysis
· MNDOT Certification in Aggregate Production or the ability to obtain certification
· Valid driver’s license
· Drone operator’s license or the ability to obtain certification
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Must be able to communicate with others by telephone or in person
· Attention to detail and strong observational skills
· Proficiency in computer operation for record keeping, document creation and reporting
· Team player with strong multi-tasking skills
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to periodically lift 60lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
