This is a remote, work-from-home position. We will consider applicants that reside in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, South Carolina, and Utah.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000 DOE

Summary:

The Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Data Analysis at Bryan University provides vision and leadership for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. This role focuses on being the head data analyst, responsible for identifying opportunities within the business to analyze and improve operations. The Director will conduct analyses, oversee other business analysts, and build processes for identifying, approving, performing, and reporting on analyses. Additionally, the Director will oversee the quality control group and be responsible for achieving quality control outcomes.

Responsibilities of the the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Data Analysis:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify opportunities for improving business operations.
  • Develop and implement a system for performing analyses and reporting insights.
  • Present findings and reports to various University constituents, including the Board of Trustees, President’s Leadership Team, and Educational Leadership Team.
  • Recommends and conducts cyclical institutional surveys and end of course surveys as approved and reviewed by Leadership Teams.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative data about various facets of the University and related educational issues, including areas such as institutional characteristics, enrollments, and student retention.
  • Responsible for ensuring all compliance reporting is performed timely and accurately.

Leadership and Oversight:

  • Oversee and mentor a team of business analysts.
  • Build and manage a process for identifying and approving opportunities for analysis.
  • Ensure meaningful, accurate data and supporting documentation are available for decision-making.

Quality Control:

  • Oversee the quality control group and ensure achievement of quality control outcomes.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes and standards.

Strategic Planning and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with university administration, faculty, and staff to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Provide data and analysis to enhance decision-making and support University-wide initiatives.
  • Accreditation and Compliance:
  • Support accreditation processes, including annual institutional updates and other accreditation-related reports.
  • Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements and accreditation standards.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Number of actionable insights generated by data analysis vs target.
  • Achieve an 85% or higher satisfaction rate in stakeholder surveys regarding the usefulness and accuracy of data reports and analyses.
  • Meet or exceed quality control targets set by the University, with a 95% compliance rate in quality audits.
  • Establish and refine processes for identifying, approving, performing, and reporting analyses within the first 6 months

Minimum Education, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with university administration and seek consensus on student learning outcomes.
  • Strong skills in data collection, organization, and analysis.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software such as SPSS and Excel.
  • Other special projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements of the the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Data Analysis:

  • 5 years of experience in Higher Education, including quantitative and qualitative research, statistical analysis, and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a virtual environment using software technology including but not limited to virtual meeting tools, such as Zoom, Instant Messaging, Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
  • The ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral equipment (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to sit or stand for six to eight hours.
