What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Hand position at Bryant Beef?
Bryant Beef is located in Dandridge,Tennessee for retail, bulk orders, and custom processing. Here at Bryant Beef we promote agriculture and market grain-finished beef for tenderness, marbling and flavor. Our livestock are raised on a farm in a stress-free environment with adequate grass, hay, water and shelter.
We are looking for a motivated individual to do:
Fencing, Fence repair, Cattle Hauling, Cattle Banding,Ear Tagging, Vaccination, Barn Maintenance, Stall/Corral Building, Organizing.
Various tractor work such has bushhogging, setting out hay, spraying fence lines, fertilizing, landscaping/driveway repair.
Landfill runs, mowing, weedeating, powerwashing, fertilizing, tree cutting, burning, fueling, light carpentry work.
This position will be on call in the event Cattle get out within our Jefferson County and Green County properties.
If farm work is slow we may fill hours inside our meat shop Labeling, Packaging, Sealing of raw meat, running the meat ginder as well as the weighing scale to portion product correctly. Cutting roasts/steaks may also be needed during meat shop shifts. Clean up work will be required at the end of the day and you may occasionally carry products out to customers if needed.
Big Bonus if you have beekeeping knowledge, and/or if you know how to properly harvest Livestock(Cattle and Hogs)
Requirements: High-school diploma ,must be 18 or older, we are a drug free workplace, close toed shoes, head covering in the processing area, reliable transportation, good hygiene, ability to show up to work on time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
