We are currently hiring a qualified, *male Security Officer for an unarmed post in Downtown Miami (East Flagler St. and Biscayne Blvd.). The post is a secure government facility that requires thorough screening and access control methods.
* Due to the nature of the contraband searches conducted, we must have a male and female officer on duty at all times to screen visitors. The gender based requirement for this position is a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ).
Post Duties:
The duties include access control, visitor screening and weapons/contraband searches which includes bag checks, pat down searches and utilizing various detection equipment.
* Please note, parking is not provided on post. It is the responsibility of the officer to make parking arrangements.
Compensation:
- $19.00 per hour
Officer Qualifications: (At least one qualification must be met.)
- U.S. Military Veteran or currently serving in the Reserves or National Guard
- State Certified Police Officer or a graduate of the Police Academy
- State Certified Corrections Officer or a graduate of the Corrections Academy
Supporting documentation such as a DD214, or a Corrections or Law Enforcement Officer Certification, must be provided at time of interview.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be well groomed with a professional appearance
- Must have a valid Class D Security Officer License
- Must be able to pass a Level II criminal background investigation and drug screening
- Must have a strong command of the English language

Schedule 1. Morning Shift (35.75 Hours)
- 08:15-16:00 Monday-Thursday
- 08:15-13:00 Friday
- Off-Saturday and Sunday
