We are a high-end lawn care and landscape company seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. We specialize in complete lawn care, landscape maintenance, and landscaping for residential and commercial properties. This position would be responsible for leading and managing our maintenance, enhancement, and snow removal crews.

  • This position will include :

  • Scheduling and managing multiple teams across different disciplines, which include (but are not limited to) landscape installation, landscape maintenance, fertilization and lawn care, snow removal, and an on-site mechanic
  • Manage routing for field staff members ensuring that crews are efficient and that customers are taken care of in a timely manner-Daily review of all jobs to ensure that hours, materials, and other important information is being reported accurately before it is processed by the office
  • Following all applicable HR protocols while hiring, firing, and training current team members
  • Ensuring that all quality and safety standards are upheld across all crews by implementing training and enforcing company policies
  • Ensuring that all company policies for field staff and mechanics are followed, enforcing existing company policy, and helping to shape new company policies that allow the company to grow
  • Be a key piece of the team by adding valuable help to other team members, consistently looking for areas of growth, and implementing new ideas
  • Manage inventory levels of job direct materials to ensure crews have what is needed when it is needed
  • Manage the fleet making sure maintenance is done in a timely fashion, that all rules, laws, and regulations regarding DOT are strictly followed, and crew members have the right tools to succeed-Ensure that shop and truck / equipment areas are kept clean, organized, and secure
  • Required education, skills, and experience :

  • Applicant MUST have management experience in turf care, landscaping, landscape maintenance, or a related field
  • Applicant MUST have a valid driver's license, be insurable (clean record with no major incidents), and be able to operate a company vehicle
  • Highly proficient with computers, technology, and fast and accurate typing skills
  • Highly skilled at operating landscaping equipment, including (but not limited to) skid loaders, lawnmowers, dump trucks, and trailers
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and keep workspace organized
  • Ability to remember detailed instructions
  • Degree in Management, Landscaping, or Horticulture preferred
  • Industry certifications a plus
  • Experience with Aspire software is a plus
  • This position is a year-round, full-time position. Individual will be responsible for managing all season operations, including snow. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Our team will train and mentor as necessary to ensure you will excel.
