Job Description
The Marshall Operations Systems, Services, and Integration (MOSSI) contract has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Engineer IV to support NASA Marshall Space Center’s Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC).
The HOSC is a multi-mission facility that provides the capabilities of a control center for multiple NASA missions, programs, and projects. The HOSC is uniquely structured and designed to provide mission planning and support and to provide NASA and their partner(s) and scientists remote control of on-orbit ISS experiments and tests. Data generated from these tests is collected and stored by the HOSC for future analysis. The HOSC’s systems are also used to collect, store, and allow for analysis of ground-generated data from similar experiments related to NASA’s Artemis programs.
HOSC systems are made up of several hundred servers utilizing virtual machine and containerization technologies. MOSSI manages a robust data storage system utilizing tools such as Dell Isilon. Most of the tools used by customers of the HOSC are developed in-house by MOSSI’s Software Development team and are custom-designed and built to meet specific requirements of mission planners and payload developers.
MOSSI System Engineers develop an in-depth understanding of the IT systems and the custom software developed and used at the HOSC. The applicant will work in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for interfacing with the NASA customer and users, including commercial and international partners, to capture and negotiate requirements, user stories, and operations concepts, then drive the resulting change requests through the systems engineering lifecycle. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are required for customer interactions. Strong initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are also required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires strong skills in systems engineering, information technology, and software development. The successful applicant will have a BS Degree with 15 years of relevant experience or 20 years of relevant experience with demonstrable skills in Information Technology.
Required Skills:
This is an on-site position.
BryceTech offers a full range of benefits, including competitive salary, a comprehensive health plan including dental and vision coverage, company-paid life & disability insurance policies, 401(k) plan with company match, and an educational reimbursement program.
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
