What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician iii position at BryComm?
We are seeking a Security Technician III to join the Security Team . This position will be responsible for the installation and service of end user security systems.
The role requires at least one year of experience, technical aptitude, and professional appearance. BryComm’s security division is composed of products and services related to VSS (Video Surveillance Systems), ACS (Access Control Systems), and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems).
Requirements
- Mid to advanced level industry / manufacturer certifications, examples include Bosch, Genetech, Etc.
- Ability to give direction to small numbers of crew members (i.e., the lead may task a T3 to run small crew on a particular floor of a building or a specific aspect of the project)
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders :
- Communication with BryComm PM on manpower and material needs
- Communication with clients / customers
- Basic programming of some and / or all systems
- Ability to troubleshoot basic issues across different systems within the division : Opens / short circuits, Grounded circuits, Voltage, amperage, resistance
- Device use, relay logic, fail safe / secure.
- Reading and understanding of wiring diagrams for edge devices.
- Trimming of panels
- Mid to high-level understanding : Electrical theory, ACS, VSS, and IDS
- Install electric locking hardware : Strikes, Panic bars, Electrified handsets, Maglocks
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- All T1 / T2 requirements.
- OSHA 30, preferred but not required for hire. Minimal OSHA 10.
Physical Requirements
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to work on a ladder up 8 hours.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
