Position Summary:
As a Patient Care Advocate it will be your responsibility to build and maintain patient relationships through enlightenment of medically recommended treatment plans which ensure our patients understand how we can best help them. Through this understanding, patient opt to purchase care at Bryn Medical.
It will be your responsibility to deliver a financial breakdown of the overall Care Plan along with helping patients to coordinate their schedules to arrive for the recommended care.
As a Patient Care Advocate, you will focus on understanding patient needs and wants, helping them overcome obstacles and empathizing with their struggles and challenges while influencing them to do what is in their best interest to improve their quality of life. To be a remarkable Patient Care Advocate, you must be able to develop trust and the confidence necessary to help patients navigate their Care Plan.
Performance Objectives:
- Develop emotional connection with patients to understand their expected goals and desired outcomes
- Perform an initial consultation on new patients to determine medical history, motivating factor that prompted patient to look for help with their problem and functional goals of the patient
- Create and deliver financial estimates and long-term scheduling to patients based on Provider’s orders
- Provide and ensure completion of all patient paperwork
- Effectively and continually educate patients about the need for, and progress through, the care plan
- Ensure that all of the patient’s needs are met, nothing gets overlooked, and care is consistent with the patient’s expressed desires
- Execute patient follow up calls
- Encourage, resolve concerns, and gather testimonials during care plan
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required
- Sales Experience preferred
- Experience working in a private medical practice preferred
