Here are some responsibilities for the potential HR Specialist:
- Work and Assists with Employee Relations (ER)
- Under general supervision, interprets, implements, and provides direction to staff on Bryten policy and procedures
- Answers employee/management requests and questions thoroughly and within the 24 hours turnaround timeline
- Assists with the performance review and termination document filing processes
- Assists in maintaining current electronic HR files
- Provides clerical assistance to the department as needed
- Assist team members in ways that optimize procedures
- Maintains records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
- Performs file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
- Assists with Worker’s Compensation (WC)
- Assist Asset Directors with HR related training and projects as needed
- Assist Sr. Director of HR and Sr. HR Manager with special projects as assigned
- Maintain regular punctuality and attendance
- Reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager
- Works in harmony and collaboratively with Employees, Clients, Community Management, Directors, Carriers, Brokers and Senior Leadership
- Participates in planning and developing department goals, objectives, company policies and procedures, and creates recommendations for improvement
- Participates in administrative staff meetings as requested
This remote position requires general office hours EST (Mon – Fri); some evenings and/or weekends are required to complete project work and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate must be able to carry out the same duties, assignments, and all work obligations at their home office free from distraction and in accordance with policy.
As the ideal candidate, your background includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Human Resources or a related field desired; SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years Human Resources experience
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Must have office space setting away from distractions
- Possess effective facilitation skills to manage conflict and resolve disputes
- Must be adept at problem‐solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, ability to communicate with employees, members of the Management team, and in group presentations and meetings
- Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
- Must have a valid Driver's License, current automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
