Job Summary
The Integrated Payments Sales and Engagement Manager will lead BS&A’s go-to- market efforts for its integrated payments product, with a focus on driving both municipal adoption and resident engagement. This role is critical to ensuring seamless implementation of BS&A Payments while achieving strategic goals such
as increasing resident adoption, optimizing financial outcomes, and delivering superior customer experience.
This individual will manage two Payments Account Managers, own key pricing and profitability strategies, and spearhead initiatives that enhance resident adoption, including autopay and digital wallet utilization.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor two Payments Account Managers, ensuring their success in driving municipal adoption and delivering on quotas.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to develop strategies targeting municipalities and residents for increased payment adoption.
- Resident Engagement and Adoption:
- Design and execute resident-facing strategies, such as campaigns to drive digital wallet adoption, autopay enrollment, and text-to-pay utilization.
- Partner with municipalities to develop communication plans, such as email campaigns, website banners, and in-person outreach, to educate residents on the benefits of modernized payment solutions.
- Analyze adoption trends to identify gaps and opportunities, crafting tailored solutions for underperforming municipalities.
- Strategic Pricing and Profitability:
- Own pricing strategies and ensure compliance with profitability goals and programs like Visa Utility Interchange.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain competitive yet profitable pricing and navigate exceptions with enterprise accounts.
- Quota Management:
- Drive both individual and team quotas focused on municipal adoption and growth of resident payment engagement.
- Report on team performance metrics, highlighting wins and areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing to create resident-friendly educational resources (e.g., FAQs, social media posts, explainer videos).
- Work closely with product teams to ensure the payment platform meets resident and municipal needs, prioritizing features like autopay and text-to-pay.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to navigate contractual obligations and risks related to stored payment methods.
- 5 years of experience in integrated payments, SaaS, or GovTech sales/operations.
- Proven ability to design and execute both B2B (municipal) and B2C (resident) engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of payments pricing, interchange optimization, and ACH/credit card processing.
- Exceptional communication, data analysis, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience designing resident engagement strategies in the payments or GovTech space.
- Track record of increasing user adoption of SaaS or payments products.
- Familiarity with municipal workflows and resident engagement tactics.
