JOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibilities include assisting in preparation of weekly/monthly financial reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in preparation of monthly and weekly financial reports to tight deadlines and reporting
of variances to management
- Supervision of Accounts Payable functions
- Strong Manufacturing Accounting experience with emphasis in Cost accounting.
- Understanding of Inventory fluctuation and applicable controls
- Experience with Treasury and Banking
- Liaise with Inter Company debtors and creditors ensuring timely and accurate transacting of
intercompany transactions.
- Understanding of Sales Taxes
- Maintain B/S schedules and registers.
- Complete bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Complete month end processes and respond to queries on a timely manner
- Prepare audit schedules and assist in the annual financial audit
- Annual budget preparation
- Complete government filings as they arise
- Collection support as required
- Various work assignments or special projects
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proven track record of problem solving/analysis ability.
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills: both verbal and written.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years Accounting experience. Experience of working with Financial
software packages. Knowledge of ERP Systems with experience of Great Plains software is desirable.
Demonstrable knowledge of project accounting an advantage.
Knowledge: Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and
demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping. Effective oral and written
communication. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational
skills.
Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to lift up to twenty-
five pounds. Frequently needs to talk and hear. Occasionally stands, walks and sits, as well as using
hands to touch or feel, and arms to reach.
Working Conditions: General office conditions. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Equipment/Tools Used: Must possess the ability to learn the computer system and work with company
enterprise software. Frequently uses office equipment such as telephones, facsimile machine,
photocopier, LCD projector, etc.
