Responsibilities
- Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
- Clerical duties may include answering phones, ordering supplies, and maintaining medical records.
- Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, collecting laboratory specimens to include point-of-care testing,
- Obtaining patient medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and reviewing discharge instructions with patients and or their drivers.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent); Current or must be attained within three (3) months of hire
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous similar clinic experience
- Previous experience with EMR systems
- One year experience in physician’s practice
