Job Description
The Sterile Processing Tech plays a critical role in our hospital system, responsible for processing surgical instruments and supplies to ensure they are ready for use by the surgical team and other departments.
- Operate and maintain decontamination equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment to remove contaminants.
- Retrieve contaminated supplies and deliver sterile supplies to designated areas.
- Prepare case carts for the Endoscopy Room according to schedule and requisition requirements.
- Maintain biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure consistent quality and effectiveness.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences to support departmental objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
- Basic Life Support certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association (desired).]
