Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:
Responsibilities
- Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
- Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered nurses.
- Obtains and recorded patients' vital signs and collected specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Must have completed some high school education.
- Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
Completion of High School PCT competencies
Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
Demonstrated competency in Phlebotomy
