Duties
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates
- Collaborate with construction teams to understand project requirements
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Visit construction sites to assess progress and gather relevant information for estimates
Requirements
- Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and software
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Commercial Construction Estimating
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in estimating
- Effective communication skills to negotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors
