Estimator (Commercial and industrial bidding)

We are seeking " Estimator " for one of our esteemed clients based at St. louis, MO and your experience aligns exceptionally well with what they are.

Essential Functions

·        Collaborate with the project team to determine the approach for proposals.

·        Review and interpret project requests for proposals (RFPs) and preliminary plans to develop detailed quantity surveys.

·        Obtain accurate takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.

·        Conduct conceptual estimating based on preliminary project parameters.

·        Prepare project cost analyses, including material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.

·        Understand project timelines and deadlines.

·        Keep up-to-date with product, vendor, subcontractor, and government requirements.

·        Participate in preconstruction meetings.

·        Travel to project sites to assess field conditions and meet with local trade contractors.

Minimum Qualifications

·        The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics and qualifications:

·        Degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management

·        10 years of experience in bidding commercial and industrial construction projects

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        In-depth knowledge of construction building methods

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities

·        Professional demeanor and appearance

·        Detail-oriented and thorough

·        Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines

·        Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with project partners, subcontractors, and vendors

·        Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·        Strong computer skills

·        Experience with Destini-Estimator, Pantera, and Bluebeam takeoff is preferred
