Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing construction project costs and preparing estimates.
Duties
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other tools to prepare accurate project estimates
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine the overall cost
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project scope and requirements
- Conduct on-site visits to assess construction sites and gather relevant information for cost estimation
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Assist in cost control measures and recommend adjustments as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction estimating or a related field
- 10 years commercial experience in plumbing or heating estimation or completion of approved apprenticeship program and 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman.
- 10 years prior estimating experience.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
