Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising the maintenance of multiple lines of business (commercial, residential, roll-off, and portable toilets) in the North Carolina region. The Maintenance Manager oversees Shop Managers and Mechanics and works with the Area President to drive functional excellence and achieve the region's budgetary goals. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for two (2) hauling companies located at a total of four (4) facilities. The Maintenance Manager ensures adherence to all accident prevention programs and leads operations to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics and other standards.

Description:

​​​​​​​Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in a business-related field, preferred.

High School Diploma or GED required

5 years of prior supervisory experience in a shop or maintenance setting in the waste industry

CDL Class A or B, preferred.

Valid driver's license required

Completion of DOT certification for air brake inspection

Certification of DOT for Annual Vehicle Inspections

Prior experience with Diagnostic Software

Knowledge and Experience of the budgetary process

Able to direct a large staff.

Process-oriented and results-oriented in setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success and marshaling resources to accomplish goals and objectives.

Proficient with computers, email, and other Microsoft office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

• Maintenance management: 5 years (Required)
• Waste industry: 5 years (Required)
• Diesel truck maintenance for fleet garbage trucks: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CDL B (Required)
