GPS Surveyor Technician
Location : Southwest or Central Nebraska
Perform surveying and mapping duties to obtain data used for construction, boundary location, or other purposes. Prepare GPS Survey models using Trimble Business Center Software to be used by Survey and Machine Guided Equipment. Travel to projects will be required. This job is based out of Curtis, NE and has remote possibilities. This is a new position, and duties can be tailored to skills. Pay depends on experience. Starting range $22 to $28 per hour. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Requirements :
Advanced knowledge of Construction Surveying such as layout and computing quantity.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects at a time.
Knowledge of survey levels, and GPS and ability to stake out projects.
Knowledge of Trimble Business Center software.
3D Modeling using Trimble Business Software.
Ability to read and interpret plans correctly.
General knowledge of Earthwork, Concrete, and Utility Work.
Evaluate multiple construction projects to determine compliance with plans.
Direct construction personnel to correctly follow plans.
Ability to work independently and productively without constant direct supervision.
Ability to work well as a team and accept and give direction as needed.
Excellent communication skills to relate to BSB crews and management team but also contractors, subcontractors and engineers.
Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
