Facilities Supervisor

The Bel Air Auto Auction is seeking a full time Facilities Supervisor to oversee the Facilities Team and maintain BSC Properties.

Job Summary:

Facilities Supervisor is responsible for supervising, monitoring, and providing instruction and training to a group of technicians engaged in maintaining and repairing buildings, facilities, and operating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with other team members, production personnel, and outside contractors/suppliers by both conducting work as well as distributing tasks within the group.
• Requisition parts/materials manage spending for projects and department within budget (as required).
• Lead Facilities related activities and projects.
• Follow up on all critical utility and related production issues and coordinate system repair.
• Review all work orders and PMs and ensure completion and closure by required deadlines.
• Assist Facilities Manager in setting priorities for direct reports.
• Coordinates maintenance activities
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment in compliance OSHA and other Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies. Handle general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including minor electrical, finish work, painting, conference room set-up, plumbing, etc.
• May periodically be required to work on alternate shifts such as nights and/or weekends.
• Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
• Provide oversight and direction to facilities personnel and act with authority when substituting for Facilities Manager

Requirements:

• High school diploma Required
• 5 years of facility maintenance experience and supervisory skills required.
• Knowledge of maintenance and operation of building automation, water treatment and fire life safety systems a plus.
• Previous experience leading teams and/or in a supervisory role

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The employee must be able to lift or move items at least 50 pounds
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
