We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented People Operations & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. Reporting to and collaborating closely with the VP of People and Culture, this role combines talent acquisition, employee engagement, and operational excellence to create a seamless employee experience while aligning recruitment and people strategies with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for IT roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business goals and staffing needs
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create clear job descriptions and define staffing requirements
- Source top IT talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, industry networks, and employee referrals, while maintaining a strong talent pipeline
- Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies and vendors as needed
- Oversee the candidate experience, ensuring timely communication and a positive process
- Track recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire) to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor hiring strategies, and salary benchmarks
- Champion diversity initiatives in recruiting practices
- Mentor and develop a team of recruiters to meet hiring objectives
People Operations
- Design and refine onboarding processes to welcome and support new hires, including first-day logistics and resource allocation
- Track employee training, certifications, and career development to support professional growth and succession planning
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies to enhance job satisfaction
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Manage documentation for team changes, promotions, salary adjustments, and performance improvement plans
- Improve processes for team operations, scheduling, and communication tools, and enhance the employee portal with resources and opportunities for connection
- Monitor and analyze industry trends to continuously refine people operations strategies
Culture and Engagement
- Conduct regular check-ins with employees to gather feedback and align on goals
- Organize and lead employee engagement activities, such as team-building exercises, social gatherings, wellness workshops, and volunteer opportunities
- Enhance communication and connection through creative use of Slack and other tools
- Lead holiday planning and other initiatives to foster engagement and celebrate milestones
- Maintain feedback loops to continuously improve the workplace environment and address concerns promptly
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a proven track record of recruiting for technical positions
- Expertise in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and specialized tech job boards
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics tools to enhance people operations
- Experience managing organizational change and supporting business transformation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical skills, with experience using recruitment metrics to drive improvement
- Passion for innovation in talent acquisition and delivering exceptional candidate experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an IT consulting firm
- International contractor management experience
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and emerging technologies
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plus
