Director of Business Operations, Brooklyn Basketball

SUMMARY

Brooklyn Basketball brings together the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty to establish a community-first basketball experience. Our goal is to grow the game for participants of all ages through professionally-led clinics and camps, community-focused events, instructional videos, unique basketball content and much more. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Operations. This role is responsible for Brooklyn Basketball business operations functions including but not limited to marketing, business development, technology, legal, and other strategic initiatives.

The Director of Business Operations will report to the VP, Brooklyn Basketball.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support the VP of Brooklyn Basketball to coordinate, implement and track Brooklyn Basketball strategy, including vision, mission, objectives, and key results.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the Brooklyn Basketball website into a technological hub for all programming: in-school, afterschool, clinics, camps, content and more.
• Partner with Marketing and IT to lead and develop a comprehensive technology strategy across Brooklyn Basketball facility and programs.
• Oversee the Brooklyn Basketball League Apps account. Manage and update events on League Apps and support program promotions through the app.
• Work cross-collaboratively to develop and maintain Brooklyn Basketball youth database.
• Collaborate with Marketing team to ensure implementation of a consistent Brooklyn Basketball brand and to strengthen overall brand awareness.
• Work alongside Marketing, Content and Communications teams on Brooklyn Basketball promotional materials, content strategy, and internal / external storytelling.
• Collaborate with Global Partnerships to identify, research and analyze new business opportunities for Brooklyn Basketball.
• Work closely with Group Sales team for program ticket redemption.
• Coordinate with Legal to ensure Brooklyn Basketball development, review and approval of legal documents and processes.
• Develop Brooklyn Basketball overview decks and other materials as needed. Track and report key program information and successes.
• Assist with implementation of new processes to enhance team alignment, productivity and effectiveness.
• Support in identifying new areas of growth for programming, building a world-class basketball academy.
• Assist with the management and tracking of the overall Brooklyn Basketball budget and business planning.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5-7 years of professional experience and proven results within operations, business development, project management, and/or strategic projects.
• Experience working effectively in a multinational matrix organization.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally if needed

SALARY RANGE

$115,000 - $140,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent will work primarily in an office environment but will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area to attend community events, clinics, etc. This position may also involved national or international travel for select events.

Salary : $115,000 - $140,000
