Homemaker/Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain cleanliness in common areas, bathrooms & resident living/dining areas, and kitchen.
• Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly.
• Meals: Assemble and serve small meals for the elderly. Responsible for taking resident orders, retrieves meal cart prior to service, serve meals provided by the Culinary Staff, make sandwiches and meal extras when requested, fill out list for restocking, do all dishes, and ensures all logs are up to date.
• Reporting: Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Resident Interaction: Be polite and helpful to residents, responding to their requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Comply with the Residents' Rights and Community Policies and Procedures.

• Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor, and other employees.
• Flexibility & ability to adapt to changing needs each day.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and repetitive tasks.
• Must be prompt and adhere to scheduled hours.
