Qualifications

5-7 Years of Experience (Showroom setting or office management experience) – Required
Must be comfortable in a showroom, sales and office environment
Must be able to control multi-million dollar budget for specific EDC
Must have some knowledge of kitchen appliances and be able to demo products effectively
Must be able to communicate professionally with the public and trades
Must demonstrate good judgment and discretion when exposed to confidential information
Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
Responsibilities
Oversees all facets of the experience and design center (EDC) in Chicago, IL located in the Merchandise Mart
This includes physical development and status of displays, product mix chosen for exhibits essential for regional market, trade marketing to drive awareness and conversion, and full budget and staffing responsibilities
The Manager of the EDC will be responsible for sales conversion using latest CRM tools and will work in close cooperation with regional sales teams and dealer network
Directly leads Experience & Design Center Sales Consultants to offer best in class experiences for consumers and trade and monitors turnover conversion for EDC location
Manages Kitchen & Design Center Specialist ensuring we provide services to consumer, trade, and our builder partners during the specification process of our luxury appliances
In charge of culinary team that provides live brand and product experiences
Manages Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to ensure best in class hospitality
Manages all other outside staff based on needs of EDC
Ensures best in class hospitality service throughout the entire EDC team
Focuses on awareness activities to further drive end consumers to the regional EDC and ensuring leads are tracked and converted into sales using latest CRM tools
Monthly tracking of consumer and trade specifier EDC visits
Monthly tracking of leads into conversions through EDC Sales Consultants
Ensures sales KPIs are met as laid out in the business plan per EDC
Ensures EDC consultants are focused on upselling where possible to further increase sales for DSM and Builder in the area
Main contact person for key builder initiatives in the area and ensures EDC team supports in closing sale with any support needed
Holds kickoff meeting and establishes relationship with regional DSM and qualifying dealers that opt into the CRM tools to work collaboratively to generate additional turnover
Looks into other areas of revenue generation where possible for the EDC and drive overall awareness for Thermador, Bosch, and Gaggenau brands (e.g. paid cooking classes)
Develops and manages all trade marketing programs executed through the EDC in close collaboration with trade marketing, brands, and sales (internal and external) teams
Builds and maintains relationships with designers, architects, builders, and developers by creating and executing in-showroom events, trainings, and meetings
Oversees hosted meeting and receptions for professional trade organizations such as NKBA, ASID, NARI and others
Oversees all EDC events
Oversees internal EDC training programs as needed
Generates outreach initiatives to drive trade and consumer traffic to EDC
Educates designers, builders, and consumers on the products and demos the products
Attends trade events to build relationships with local and regional trade organizations
Answers public inquiries generated by the brand websites
Consults with Corporate managers looking to develop national-level events, meetings or programs
Scouts and recommends local venues, contractors, resources, and customer entertainment options
Executes programs for corporate constituents (brand marketing, product marketing, public relations, sales, and training)
Interfaces with local, regional, and national sales managers and directors to provide programming and value-added service to support their customers
Executes programs by overseeing hotels, food service, entertainment, training, communications, and reporting
Sources, negotiates, and oversees the choice of program vendors
Programs handle over 1,000 participants annually
Maintains accuracy of website EDC listing
Continuously manages and monitors EDC budget and creates reports as necessary
Maintains daily records of EDC traffic and appointments
Supervises the EDC Sales Consultants (when applicable) in scheduling appointments, tracking and converting leads using the latest CRM tools, trainings, events, demos, and meetings
Maintains and manages EDC expense reporting and budgets including necessary supplies or modifications needed for EDC location (e.g. culinary supplies for chefs or major EDC renovations / modifications)
Functions as a consultant within the EDC network as needed (example : expansion plans, layouts of new EDCs, staffing, etc)
May delegate some of the above responsibilities to others and supervise execution of them (e.g. cleanliness, up to date design aspects to accommodating activities efficiently and effectively, maintaining current product mix and balance of Brand equities)
Performs all other duties as assigned

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title
Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location
If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the maximum payout potential is 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document
