About the Role:
As a key employee at BSI, this position will report directly to the CFO and will lead the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial insights.
Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger operations
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Manage annual audit and tax preparation processes
- Develop and monitor financial budgets and forecasts
- Process biweekly payroll
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance & 401(k)
- Review and analyze existing work processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- 3 years of Controller experience; or 4 years of Public Accounting experience; or 6 years of Private Accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards
