As a Maintenance Technician II (MT3) , you will maintain related building facilities and physical plant mechanical equipment for Blue Skies of Texas in order to insure a reliable and safe environment for residents, visitors and employees.  The trained and experienced MT3 will work independently and with Blue Skies and contracted maintenance personnel to insure the timely and correct maintenance of all physical plant facilities. 

What you will do in this role:

• Plans, organizes, and manages assigned work orders to achieve greatest productivity and work efficiency with safety and quality of work being the highest priorities.
• Complies with all maintenance department and Blue Skies safety rules, regulations, and general policies.
• Responds immediately to emergency maintenance calls, ensuring the safety of residents and facilities.
• Responds quickly to all work orders, prioritizing urgent and life safety-type work orders.
• Ensures all Company-provided, job-required tools such as tool belt, tool bag, tool box, etc. are in possession and on-hand when responding to work orders.
• Performs mechanical-related tasks, minor electrical and basic plumbing repairs, and minor carpentry tasks, as directed.
• Changes out appliances such as dishwashers, refrigerators, and stoves, and performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance on same, as directed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Required: Possess a minimum of at least three years work experience in the maintenance or repair field (trade school can be considered).

• Required: Must be EPA-certified to handle refrigerant or obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

• Required: Must possess a current, valid Texas drivers license with a good driving record and remain insurable by Blue Skies carriers.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent. Minor repairs and preventive maintenance experience of small appliances is a plus.
• Must be able to respond to and address emergency situations in a prompt, safe, and correct manner without supervision.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment needed to maintain a large Continuing Care Retirement Community complex.

Continuing to offer modern residences and a range of senior-focused services and amenities, the Air Force Village legacy we cherish carries forward in Blue Skies of Texas.
