What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auger Bore Supervisor - Trenchless position at BT Construction?
Position Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Minimum five years’ experience in civil construction auger bore pipe installation
- Overall responsibility for safety of all individuals on the projects, working directly with our Safety Managers
- Works with inspectors on the standard requirements of the project
- Responsible for overall operations at the job site including meeting schedules and budgets
- Partners with the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding labor, equipment, subcontractors, material suppliers, and schedules to achieve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Daily paperwork including: Notice and Dailies, JHA’s, Safety Permits & Work Orders (Change Order Management)
- Advanced knowledge of reading plans and specifications
- Supplier and material coordination, subcontractor management
- Strong organizational skills; ability to plan, schedule, supervise; responsible for completion of the project in a logical path
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
- Understand budgets and full responsibility of the overall project scope
- High understanding of soil conditions and anticipated reaction of the soil once disturbed
- Employee development and mentoring
- Excellent communication with fellow Superintendents, General Superintendent and Project Team
- The employee may be exposed to working conditions that include working near loud, large heavy equipment and near moving mechanical parts
- This job requires working outdoors in inclement Colorado weather conditions, year-round
- Early start workdays, occasional night and weekend work required
